When you begin to think about buying a
diamond engagement ring, you naturally
want the best that you can get and a most beautiful stone
that you
will treasure and appreciate for decades.
Diamonds can be bought in a wide range of prices and
you're certain to find one in our wide selection that
suits your taste and what you plan to spend. If you're
about to buy a Diamond Engagement Ring, as a idea from
where to start there is the common accepted De Beers guideline of
spending a two
months’ salary.
This guideline was meant only as a directional
tool to help you establish a budget. The next step in
buying a ring is to educate yourself on each of the 4
C's
Cut, Clarity, Carat and Color—and how each of these
affect diamond prices.
People generally look
for G - H color, and VS - SI1 clarity, and then they adjust the size
according to their
budget. Higher color and clarity is beautiful, but these
factors are not always noticeable to the eye,
but makes the price go up dramatically. This is also the
case with cut.
The
human eye cannot realize the differences between
good and excellent ratings on polish and
symmetry, but the difference between "fair" or
"poor" polish and symmetry is very noticeable
even to the untrained eye.
After deciding on your budget, just learn about
the four diamond factors. Carat, Cut, Clarity and Color
and look for the perfect balance of all of them.
Sometimes people want a large diamond, not that there's
anything wrong with that, however sometimes they end up
sacrificing one or more of the C's in order to get that,
but they then end up with a lower quality diamond with less
brilliance and radiance.
Our suggestion is that you focus and pay more attention
to the Cut of the diamond rather than looking for a
bigger stone with higher Carat
size. obviously you will have to sacrifice and give up
on bigger
stones for something a little smaller depending on your
customized budget. Just reminder though, you'll
surely treasure and appreciate this stones brilliance
and radiance for decades to come inspired by the brilliance it radiates even
in low
light. |
